Interlaken, Switzerland- 9/4-9/6/09

To celebrate Labor Day weekend, we went camping in what might be the most amazing place I have ever been- Interlaken, Switzerland! I had the same "take your breath away feeling" here that I had when I first went to the Grand Canyon.

*these pictures are way out of order and vary in size- sorry for the confusion... (a few are "stolen" from sara- thanks!)

-brian and friends go hiking to a waterfall (pictures of the waterfall are somewhere on here!)

it was VERY cold. the days were sunny and warm- but it was in the low 40's at night and i was afraid macy was going to freeze to death. hence the hat, hood and bunting! (thanks adrien!)

all the kids on our picnic lunch- with crazy teeth/lip lollipops

snow, snow, snow- i loved seeing it!

this was our tent- two bedrooms and a livingroom/kitchen! we drove up and it was ready for us- complete with beds, linens, wine glasses (a must!), a 4 burner stove top, lights, chairs and table- need i go on? it was the ONLY way to camp! we did rough it though- since the bathroom was 150 away!tate and his best buddy nick rode bikes all weekend long. tate would camp every day if he could- he loved not having to brush his teeth, peeing in the grass and getting on his bike at 630am!
on our way home we stopped and had the most glorious lunch of my life- the scenery was amazing, food was fabulous and my family was perfect company!

somebody help this child! macy somehow almost rolled out of her pants and diaper while "playing" in her little tent!

the morning view from our tent- check out the mountain top and moon- amazing!

oops- sideways! but this was the hotel where we had our fabulous lunch

a small village we drove through on our way to interlaken

we all can not wait to go back! we had a fabulous weekend with our friends- 10 adults and 7 3/4 kids- lots of laughs and great memories.
