Brian has a friend (missy) who 10 years ago mentioned to me that her grandfather always celebrated her 1/2 birthday. it stuck in my head and i thought that it was the sweetest idea.
when we lived in Germany i tried to encourage Brian to celebrate my 1/2 bday, but that didn't work.
so this year i made a point to celebrate both kids 1/2 birthdays- why not, right????
i surprised Macy with the perfect little cake today after school and she was delighted! (and she thinks she is taller now that she is 3 1/2 too!)
