Since we wouldn't have a Christmas tree this year (we packed one, but all of our belongings are delayed because of our Visa issues. Sigh) he left them each a mini Christmas tree for their rooms! Brilliant Ernie, just brilliant.
The kids would find a note or clue from Ernie each day in our new advent calendar and they would have to go find their daily treat... this day they found a bowl of microwave popcorn and chopsticks in the microwave-
After seeing the kids try to use chopsticks when we were in Japan, I knew they needed some more practice- and me too! I read that eating popcorn with chopsticks was a great way to practice- and it kept your fingers clean- win win!
So that night while we watched a movie, we had popcorn with chopsticks-
Ernie also left us some new Christmas decorations... Brian had to help build this one-
Tate managed this one on his own just fine-
I particularly loved the new melting snowman-
As usual, Brian came up with some pretty funny scenes for the kids to wake up to each day-
