When we lived in Jakarta, Brian became friends with the Dutch Attache, Cor, who retired from the Dutch Navy last year and he and his wife, Esmerelda, have been traveling for the last 9 weeks. They spent 6 weeks in New Zealand and 3 weeks in South Korea. We were happy when they were planning their trip last fall and reached out to meet up.
At that point we didn't know Kyra would be visiting, but it all worked out because Saturday morning we headed into Seoul to drop Kyra off at the airport, and then went right to the hotel to meet up with them!
We toured around the Bukchon Hanok village for a bit, and Esmerelda and I used our best charades to ask these women if she could take a picture with them-
That evening we took them on the night market food tour-
After our tour, a gentleman came up to the 4 of us and asked if he could speak with us for a bit. Turns out he is taking English classes and just wanted to practice his English. It was so sweet! And he even wanted a picture with just us ladies-
Brian found us the coolest wine bar. There were probably about 40 selections of wine- on tap! The variety was amazing, the quality great and the prices were decent. It was an excellent find-

Our hotel was right across from the starting point for the Seoul wall hike, that the kids and I did last spring. Brian had never done it so after breakfast we went out for a walk along the wall-
We looked over at one point and saw all these naked cats in the window of a house-
Gross!
The azaleas here are gorgeous-
We met up with Cor & Esmerelda again for some sightseeing, shopping and lunch. Then it was time to say good-bye. Hope to see them in Europe next!
