on monday macy was back at the doc for a check-up and the doc thought she might have the croup- so he prescribed two steriods. and i'm happy to say that i think she is finally on the mend- after 2 antibiotics, 2 steriods and an inhaler- plus lots of TLC!
my mom has really enjoyed some sweet moments with macy while helping me put her to sleep...
last month tate's teacher asked me to do some type of lesson for the kids about the united states- i chose thanksgiving. so we have been preparing this week. my mom and i (and tate!) made pilgrim and indian hats for the entire class. below is a pic of tate "helping"- i think he was making that feather fly!

when we got to the school- i read a book about the story of thanksgiving, tate showed his favorite stuffed animal turkey, which says "gobble, gobble" and i showed a picture of norman rockwell's painting of thanksgiving dinner. however- as you will see below- macy was definately the main attraction!

here are the kids- and tate's two teachers- making the very american thanksgiving children's craft of hand traced turkeys!
here is the entire class with their pilgrim and indian hats- so precious!
tate and his german best buddies- hugo and leopold
we ended the festivities with hot apple pie, pumpkin pie, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream- out of the squirt can (they couldnt get over that!) and the kids LOVED it! it is an odd feeling being overseas for thanksgiving this year- it is my favorite holiday- so im glad we got to have such a wonderful time sharing this special holiday with tate's class.

yesterday we went out around my town and did some shopping.... my mom bought a great pair of boots, cute sweater- and this hillarious mask to make the outfit complete!
and since you stuck it out and read alllll of the above- here's some exciting news. i am pregnant. JUST KIDDING! HA! the exciting news is that macy is sitting up.... check out her pose below- we are so proud of her! she can hold her own for about 5 minutes now.

well, we are taking off tomorrow for 8 days in switzerland! i really should go pack us up now i guess. i am looking forward to some downtime with my mom, relaxing with brian and playing in some snow with tate and macy too!

i hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving- i know i have so much to be thankful for this year- a loving, supportive husband who is so good looking; healthy, happy kids with bright futures; a brave mother and mother-in-law who are both trying to kick cancer's ass; and inspirational friends and family members (like my sister especially!) who are such a blessing to me every day- and that's only a start!
