last fall, my friend angela mentioned taking off on a girls only weekend. ummm.... OKAY! but it seemed kind of farfetched and way too perfect. so, the idea died down for a while and then, after a long day with a sick kid and/or tantruming toddler, i think i might have forced her to start planning it.
and now in just 48 hours we will be off for the weekend! no kids, no husbands- just 6 friends. it turns out to be the same girls we went to tuscany with last summer- minus diane, who will be busy at home with her 3 week old son!
the first/last/only time i was away without kids or brian was in january 2008 when my sister and i flew from cali back to boston for the allyson's booze cruise on the yellow school bus! and i have never been away from macy for the night...
we have an awesome trip planned. leaving at 9am friday and returning home at 5pm on sunday. YIPPIE! we are staying in germany- heading to garmish, a quaint town in the alps where there just happens to be a beautiful american military resort- and i do mean resort! our family went there last spring, but i didn't get any time in the spa... that wont happen again- i already have appointments for a facial and massage this weekend!
i promise to take lost of photos and blog about all our fun next week! i hope brian survives without me... (HA- who am i kidding? they are going to love daddy weekend!)
