Macy is 5!

Macy had the most unbelievable birthday this year...

It started two days before her birthday, on her last day of preschool when they celebrated her birthday. Then, the night before her birthday, she graduated from preschool!

Here she comes... tongue out and all-
Time to sing-
Macy and Mrs. Myung-
Now let's stop here... Last summer she fell in love with the idea of becoming a dolphin trainer, after seeing the amazing (sea world type) dolphin show at Six Flags amusement park. So, that is what she instantly wanted to become when she grew up. Then, about a month later we went to visit the Leadbetters in DC and when we went to the White House, there happened to be 2 snipers on the rooftop that day that were VERY visible. So, after that day she loved the idea of becoming a "White House rooftop sniper."

For many months, she told everyone that she wanted to become "first a dolphin trainer, then a White House rooftop sniper." Sounds perfect for our little tomboy, right?

Then about a month ago she started mentioning something about wanting to become a cheerleader when she grows up- and we all just kind of dismissed it.

One of the cutest parts of the preschool graduation and is that the kids all told what they wanted to become when they grew up... Some were HILARIOUS!

I just knew the crowd would erupt when she mentioned "White House rooftop sniper!" (You know where this is going, right?

"And when Macy grows up, she wants to be.... A CHEERLEADER!" UGH! Well, at least she wasn't the one who said "Mermaid!"

We later helped her focus in on being a cheerleader during college (at Tennessee she says) and THEN pursuing another career after that... We've got some time i think.

Look how cute these two were walking out of the chapel-
Tate and Brian had just come from Tate's baseball game...

Here she is-

Of course my mom was there too-
Her prize possession-
Now what to do with THAT?

The kids couldn't wait to strip out of their caps and gowns (that we will now add to the dress up bucket0 and head into the reception. Here is Macy with Aiden, Colin, Conner, Kaelyn & Ellia. The only one missing from their group was Maddy-

Macy and her teacher Mrs. Myung-

Macy's birthday morning started EARLY! She just couldn't contain herself anymore and had to wake up in the 5 o'clock hour. She came in and hung out with us, but somehow through all of her excitement- she fell back to sleep in our bed by 7am-

for lunch, she got to take Lucas out to McDonalds for a playdate-

the official McCullough bday photo-
(in all her new exercise gear!)

That evening was her party... She had 5 friends meet up at the park for playtime and a happy meal picnic-
Then we headed to the children's theater just a few (LONGGGGGGGG) blocks away to see opening night of Annie:The Musical. Here we go-

Thank goodness I had my mom, brian, sister and brother-in-law to assist in corralling these cats to the theater!

During intermission they called Macy up on stage and we all sung happy birthday to her-

Here's our group, after the show-
BTW the show started at 7:30pm! On a Friday night... sigh.

Saturday night Macy chose 'teppanyaki' for her birthday dinner and we all headed out to  Benihana-

I must say, we were disappointed. A little overpriced- and we have had way better in Fresno! But, Macy enjoyed it and that is what counts...

So, now we have a 5 year old. A shoe tying, almost reading, ready to go to kindergarten little girl! She is so athletic, a great friend, wants to outdo her brother in anything that he can do. She has a big head, big feet and long legs- can't wait to see what this next year has in store for her! She still loves to cuddle, is obsessed about anything silky and now enjoys pink/girly things. But still not the Disney princesses. Except Sofia. She is exactly what I wanted in a daughter and I am lucky to be her mom.
