Christmas Cruisin'- Day 4 Ensenada, Mexico (Tue 12/25)

We'd had such great weather, but sadly the forecast for Christmas Day in Ensenada Mexico was to be rainy.... boo. But when we woke up, the sun seemed to want to come out for us-

No presents, but of course Santa still found us and filled up the stockings!

While I don't particularly like traveling at Christmas, there was something nice this year about staying in bed to open my stocking!

Brian was ready to go after we opened stockings. But we were not. The kids and I really wanted some down time to stay in pajamas and play with our new trinkets. So- Brian went off on his own to explore Ensenada. Win win for us all!

He called us and said to come to the balcony- here we are waving him off-

Sunny and dry- but not too impressive-

Ever the adventurer in search of all things authentic- Brian enjoyed Christmas morning breakfast with a local Mexican family at this little food stand-

Menudo-

No thanks. He would later take us back and we had the most amazing something or other. So so incredible- and cheap!

When Brian got back we all went to breakfast with Ambra's family, then everybody came back to our room for the kids to open family gifts-

My gram made Macy this ponytail hat-

And off we go to explore Ensenada- still sunny skies!

First stop was for 2 for 1 margaritas. The waiter photo bombed the selfie!

The waiter got a drone for Christmas, and asked Tate to go outside to practice with it and then teach him how to use it!

Brian found us a fantastic lunch place off the beaten path-

The moment that Tate realized the he DOES like guacamole!

It poured down hard rain when we were eating lunch and was still coming down some on our walk back to the ship-

But look what we saw afterwards-
After we got back on the ship, Brian went with the kids one the waterslide- once. That was enough apparently. Too cold!

Christmas dinner on the ship is formal night-

Without planning it- everyone was in black and white... well, except the darn elf. Oops.

Christmas dinner was fun-

But was absolutely terrible. From the food to the service- bad, bad, bad. Brian will never forget this plate he was served-

After dinner Ambra's family went to play bingo and we took the kids to see a show- Epic Rock, which was so great!

Then the kids went to kids club and we went to the night club- no thanks. And then to karaoke, where we were happy to watch and support the singers!
