Double digits for Macy!

And just like that, Macy turned 10. Double digits forever now... well, unless she reaches 100! 

Not a bad way to wake up on your birthday...

Sadly, I had school the day of her birthday and left the house at 6:30- before she was even out of bed. But Brian's schedule was more flexible than mine, so he got to celebrate with her before school and was able to fill her request of birthday pancakes- even if he did have to look up a recipe!

He rocks as a house husband!

The day was nutty because Macy had a baseball game scheduled for the night of her birthday... so we planned to grab a late dinner after the game and open presents super late after dinner. 

She got to open her bday shirt (below) before school so she could wear it, and then after school she had a special present from Grandmommy and Grandaddy that was a must open now kind of present-

All season she had her eye on a new baseball bag- and she got it!

I made baseball cupcakes for her team to celebrate after the game-

 And then just like that- thunder, lightening and rain! NO GAME!

Sad for Macy, but so happy we could have a family night with her...

Time for presents-

She chose burgers for dinner, so we went to Bobby Flay's place- Bobby's Burger Palace, and it did not disappoint!

Friday Brian and I took Macy to get her military ID- quite the right of passage when military kids turn 10! And we stopped off at Starbucks for a post bday pink drink- 

And the BX so she could spend some of her bday money from Auntie Cathryn and Nanna-

Macy likes to spend time with her friends one on one. So she knew she wanted two different bday activities with her two best friends. With Hannah she went on her NC horse trip. And with Katelyn she wanted a sleepover, visit to the cat lounge and dinner out. So on Friday after school Katelyn came over off the bus, and surprised Macy with matching outfits and earrings for her birthday-

This is the second year that Katelyn has done this and Macy loves it! It was their idea to pose on the stairs... hmmmmm. 

And off we go to the cat lounge! 

SO MANY KITTENS-

Another marvelous birthday for Macy. She felt the love. And showed the love. She's a generous, kind and curious kid. She's the daughter I always wanted, but didn't know it. I can't even begin to imagine what life will look like for her in another 10 years...

This was her outfit on Monday morning, and she could not have felt any more proud of it! She was just oozing with confidence, saying- I look like Pudge, who is our teenage babysitter, who in Macy's opinion just oozes coolness herself.

The new black Nike socks were a gift from Quinn. They are pulled up just how Pudge wears hers too! You do you kiddo. Don't change.
