Brian joined the local rowing team this spring and on Saturday June 2 he had his first regatta- since college! The race was in DC, and he went into the city early with his team and ALL the boats. We met up with him a few hours later to catch one of his races. The whole experience reminded me a lot of the kids swim team meets- get there early, wait and relax for 2 or 3 short events that may be hours apart.
It was a beautiful day, which made the waiting around part lovely-

And in just 6 minutes- his race was done!
It was impressive watching the teams carry their boats in and out of the water and load.unload them onto the trailers. They are so crazy long!
