My girlfriends planned the most fun "retirement party" for me to celebrate the end of my working at the embassy. Lunch, and then boozy bowling. Ummm, okay!
Off we go in Jenny's posh van-

Her driver literally pulled the car over to teach us how to use it!
Bowling in Jakarta was a first for me here. Who knew that you could rent a VIP room at a bowling alley, that came with waitstaff and karaoke?
I tried to dress the part-
Katrice was killing us with her very non-traditional bowling form-
But it worked!
The other side of our private room was this lounge-y space, with karaoke-
So it only makes sense to karaoke while bowling then, right?
Retirement looks good on me, right?
Katrice and I are trying to bring back the 1950's high ponytails-
On the ride home, someone spilled their sticky, juice-y drink in the backseat right after this picture was taken-
Months later, it is still unclear who it was and we are still all laughing about it! Well, except Jenny's driver.
