well, we have been home for 4 weeks today. and i think i only have about 9 pictures on my camera card- shocking! and kinda nice because that means we havent been doing too much of anything. we have been staying home more, playing more, cooking more and relaxing more.
i really am trying to play more. macy is at such a great age- i can tell she is like a little sponge right now and just absorbs everything we all do around her. (as i write this, she just hit tate on the head with her magic wand. kinda funny...) they are playing so well together. im so glad they have eachother. most days... last week they were frustrating eachother, wanting the same toys or play space and tate called for me saying "mom, macy blinked at me." i guess that is how it starts, right?
macy is walking about 50% of the time now- finally! she is so cute when she toddles around so slowly. she has all 4 of her 1st molars in now and still very little hair. she has some words- mommy, daddy, something she calls tate which sounds like 'baba' kind of, bye-bye, hello and her newest party trick is when the song "if you are happy and you know it" comes on she will clap, "stomp" her feet and raise her hands for horray- it is so cute!
tate is doing great and just wants to play with his friends each and every day, all day long. if only life was that sweet! im trying to work on some pre-kindergarten skills with him and he loves the time we spend working together.
it's new food week in our house, well for tate at least. i am trying to cook new recipes each night. monday was spagetti squash- tate liked it, covered in ranch dressing! and last night was sweet potato- with maple syrup! hey, we are starting small... we are going to try to eat as a family at 630 from now on. monday brian didnt make it, but last night he did which was great.
well, enough for now. i am sure there is some pile of stuff for me to sort or some to do list for me to work on right now. actually, a friend is coming over to take all my baby stuff- yippie! and then im going to take the kids to our local lake for some splashing in the water and playing in the sand. then tonight we are meeting 3 families for dinner at our favorite biergarten for dinner. so, we do have a busy day actually. but- im still in my pj's right now and loving it!
