i have been driving the jeep for 3 years now. i love it so much. it sounds like a tank when you turn it on, which the german kids at tate's kindergarten all appreciate. i dont worry about scratching it up, since it is 11 years old. it runs like a champ (except for 2 silly things- the back hatch doesnt stay up (ouch!) and the passenger side door doesnt manually unlock anymore- which is just so inconvinient) and probably will for another 11 years!
it was the car brian had when we met- it was perfect then. i remember seeing him drive through town and thought he looked so hot driving it! funny how i have somehow made it into a "mom car" over the past few years- complete with milk stains on the interior ceiling and a sticker on the window that says "moms rock!" well, he is about to get his beloved jeep back- cause mommy got a new car!
sara is shopping around for a minivan, because of baby #3. she knows that someday, we might want a volvo xc90 and sees this one for sale. she sends me the link on tuesday night. i, half jokingly, show it to brian and say we should buy it. he, half seriously, says he thinks it might be want we should buy. tuesday afternoon, i email the owner- who turns out to be brian's coworker! friday afternoon, it was in our driveway- i guess it was just meant to be. poor sara, still hasnt found her minivan...
