Napa, take 3!

Our last excursion to Napa with Gill and George was on Saturday 1/4. The first place we went to was Vine Cliff, a favorite from our honeymoon! 

The beautiful tasting room-

The old caves on the property, built in the 1800's by George Yount, whom Yountville is named after!

The new caves- 

I remember entering these caves on our honeymoon and they just blew my mind! It was cool that these were the first caves we got to take George and Gill into also. 

 After our tasting and tour, we had a picnic lunch by their beautiful pond. The weather was awesome. George noticed several of these large nails around the area where we were eating-

Our next stop was up on Howell Mountain, at the Ladera Winery-

The winery cat decided to take a liking to George!

The grand finale this day was Hall Rutherford-

The tasting started on the patio-

And after a short walk to the vineyards, we ended up in their amazing caves-

For our tasting, we sat under this brilliant chandelier,  with 1500 Austria Sworvoski crystals-

This is where we did our tasting- it was just breathtaking!

What a trip! We loved having Aaron with us for 2 weeks, and Gill & George for 3 weeks. We drove them to the airport last Wednesday, 1/8 and while saying our good-byes, Brian said out loud "I wonder where you will visit us next?" It is crazy to think that they won't come back here again! (It's crazy to think that we are moving in just 5 more months. Sigh)
