Ernie's back

 Our Elf on The Shelf returned to us, thankfully, this year. Some days he just seems to be quietly watching us, others he gets into more mischief....

This is how we found him one morning-

 And this is what his note said-

Another morning it seemed that the reindeer were the naughty ones-

 Did you see just his hat and leg sticking out of the box?

Well, the next day Ernie got revenge on the reindeer and trapped them all in the cookie jar-

Silly elf, those are dog bones, not cookies for you-

Macy's girl scout troop actually made "elf donuts" at one meeting, to lave out for their elves that night. Think frosting on top of a cheerio... Macy left a note to go along with them, and got a note back!

For the second year in a row, Ernie has brought them a little gift each day. Kind of like having an advent calendar!

The morning that we saw the new Star Wars movie, this is what we found in the kitchen-

 Steven Spielberg? George Lucas? Is that you filming-

Brian has really been having a lot of fun with it this year, and has helped me out tremendously! There are so many little things to think of during the Christmas season- from cards to treats to teacher gifts (wine this year, btw!)- it's been nice not having to worry about moving Ernie each night...
