For Christmas, I gave Brian the gift of a Bali long weekend away- just us! He did a great job planning the perfect weekend for us in Seminyak, a place new to us both. We left on Friday and returned on Monday. Brian really just wanted to relax all weekend, be spontaneous and find good food. The only thing on my agenda was going to Uluwatu, a surfers paradise that we had not yet ventured to.
First stop Don Juan's in Kuta for some tex-mex lunch of course-
We stayed in an incredible suite at the W and the view from our balcony was perfect-
Equally as wonderful at sunset-

Sunday beachside seafood brunch was amazing-
Hard not to have the kids on our mind while away from them, especially when we saw this cool donut display at brunch-
The W knows how to do detail. These were our gorgeous complimentary breakfast mocktails-
We finally go to go to Potato Head, a 98% sustainable hotel & beach bar-
the property was really fabulous-
Brian found a great place for lunch when we were in Uluwatu called Mana-
We finally go to the Uluwatu temple- sarongs and all-

We also checked out the giant (400 ft tall) Garuda statue, built at the top of an old quary-
We loved that each morning at breakfast, we were instructed to take a coffee mug of our choice (all miss matched- some trendy, some classic, some childish) and that was our coffee mug to use- just like you'd select a random mug from your grandma's cabinet-
The W property is grogeous-
Beach front massages for us? Yes please!
And then suddenly, it was time to go home, But first, let's go get a covid test, in a tent, in a parking lot-
This was the busiest we have seen Bali since 2019-
We did it! We connected, we relaxed, we laughed, we talked, we made memories... no one I'd rather spend a weekend away with then this guy-
