Azalea Festival

I'm so glad that Lydia is my "yes friend" here... One Thursday morning I suggested we drive to the Azalea Festival- which started the next day- and she said yes! Her mom was here visiting and she managed to make plans for all the kids, so off we went!

The festival is held in a small park, where azalea bushes are so thick, deep and tall that it just looks like a carpet of flowers. See them all peaking through above the waterfall-

Some havent even bloomed yet and still look as green as new spring grass-

So thick and tall-

Loved seeing all the koreans posing for pictures-

The hillside was covered in walkways that reminded me of mazes through an ant hill-

We literally got pushed into a group photo, which felt a bit like we were celebrities without our security-

In front of the flowers-

Now in the flowers-

So glad we got the chance to go see this magnificent beauty here without the crowds that will come with the festival tomorrow. Lucky, lucky us.
