Tate had a mandatory new student 2 day summer orientation to attend, and we planned it at the beginning of our 4.5 week summer trip.
We dropped Sparky off with Sara's parents for some TLC, and Macy stayed the night with the Leadbetter's- getting to go to her first ever American carnival!
Tate had to stay in the dorms, but Brian and I got to stay at a hotel close to Yale and have a much needed date night!
But first, orientation....
It was so awkward trying to make small talk with people and they'd see my name tag and then need clarification and say "where are you from?" Sadly Tate's name tag said the same thing!
I like a university that serves the parents alcohol for a proper social hour-
Meanwhile, Macy has made a friend in the neighborhood named Helen and is off floating in her pond!
I'd never been to Yale and really was impressed with how stunningly beautiful the campus is. So historic and so charming.
Chris drove Macy down to campus and off we drove south in our rental car to our first summer circuit spot- Virginia!
