I LOVE CALIFORNIA!

well, we made it... and it was such an uneventful trip! what was i worried about anyway? hehehe.

our flights were perfect and the kids were amazing. so well behaved that i started to worry about my almost 1 year old, who should have been a terror right? climbing around, screaming to get down, ect. on the second flight i notcied that she was a bit too quiet and cuddly (but i was cloving every minute of it!) and thought she might be a bit warm. so i took her temp and of course, just my luck, she had a fever over 101. so i doped her up with some tylenol (yup- i had a themometer and tylenol in my diaper bag- no wonder the small bag always looks like it's busting at the seams, right?) and she was just happy to be sitting with me for the rest of the flight.

tate couldnt run fast enough to get to grandmommy (kristen's mom) when we got off the plane and we spent the next 2 nights at her house having lots of fun with all the roths and farnhams- especially my 5 yr old god daughter, riley and her new 3 week old brother wesley!

the next day (wed) macy just wasnt her self and by the afternoon was just laying around, uninterested in much... when i took her temp it was almost 103, so i thought it was time for her to be seen. so i went to an urgent care clinic and her temp was up to 103.5 and the doc said she had a 'rip, roaring, red' ear infection. i chatted with an ENT there and asked why when we flew the day before, she wasnt yelling about pain... he said with the worst ear infections sometimes kids dont show pain, because they are in so much pain. OH MY POOR MACY! we got an antibiotic and headed back to grandmommy's house...

thursday we were going to go to a children's museum with rileys preschool field trip, but i thought macy should have a day off. so luckily we will be seeing the roths and farnhams lots more during this trip... with a healthy macy i hope!

so off to fresno to see my mom, dad and sister (and fam)... cant wait to introduce macy to her cousins and grampy! its a 2.5 hour drive fom morgan hill to fresno and i loved every second of the drive. i really, really miss living in california. i love the diversity here- from the landscape to the people, it really has so much to offer everyone. and i also love my california chardonnay. oh how i have missed you california!
