starting to say good-bye

on wednesday night, we had our awesome babysitter, kimberley over for dinner so we could say good-bye. we met her last july and she quickly became the kids favorite- and ours too! her english is amazing, she is incredibly flexible and so, so loving. we hope that she will come to the states to visit (or live with us!) next year maybe! i dont know what i would have done without her the past year...

macy was VERY upset to have to say good-bye! hehe
last night we went out with our german friends/neighbors, klaus and claudia. tate went to kindergarten with their daughter and we all quickly became friends. claudia has also started a cooking class for me and my american friends, which will continue after i move. brian and klaus share the love of good german beer, so our times together are always fun and full of laughs. i will miss claudia a lot- she has been so helpful to me here in our tiny town of neckartenzlingen.
we all ate dinner at our favorite restaurant here in town, the hirsch kellar (deer cellar). it is an incredible italian restaurant, owned by josephina (josie) and josepe (joe) who are from sicily. they speak only italian and german and we speak only english- but somehow, we all understand eachother enough. they are a sweet, sweet couple and can make an incredible gorganzola cream sauce!
the good-byes will continue... monday (5/23) the packers come and we plan to be here for 3 days. we will all move in with the leadbetter's and fly out on wednesday june 1! it is so bittersweet and coming FAST!
