sunday morning we all somehow made it to church on-time! then the boys headed out biking through napa together. it was an almost 30 mile ride and from what they say, an incredible one!
while they were off biking, sara took the kids to the playground while i hit the grocery store for some Super Bowl snacks. then it was home for much needed naps (for me!) and a little packing (for sara)... we avoided talking about their departure tomorrow and instead just wanted to celebrate the fact that we were once again together for our 3rd year of the super bowl. this year was sure to be so much better since it started at 3pm and not at midnight as it did when we lived in germany together!
our friend, eric knight who is stationed in alaska but is here training just an hour away, also came down for the big game. we drank, feasted and tried to cheer on the patriots- don't forget, I'm from massachusetts! but, it seems that there were colts fans everywhere in my house!
i just happened to have two colts jerseys for tate- and both boys had on brown pants. they were twins for church!
isn't this next picture just the best? who doesn't want to be on a two person swing, with your best buddy, dressed as twins? life really can be sweet and simple...
sunday night, try as we might to pull an all nighter- there was no way! off to bed to face a very sad day to come...
