on friday 3/23 the officer's spouses club on base had a fundraiser dinner and auction to raise money for scholarships. this is an annual event that raises over $20,000! this year's theme was "masquerade" and i was so happy to have THE perfect mask and date!
my friend ann in italy attended a masquerade recently and when i saw her mask, i begged to borrow it! (brian decided last minute to be batman...)
i am not usually a fan of playing dress up, but this semi-formal was actually one i enjoyed getting ready for!

i was talking so much all night (shocker, i know!), that i never got to bid on any of the silent auction items. (and the live auction items were way out of my budget!) but brian surprised me with a beautiful new bracelet and he actually surprised himself when he won a wine basket in the silent auction because all night long, he was using the wrong bid sheet! so instead of getting the great wine at a good deal, we got the basket to the left of the one he wanted. so we ended up taking home some not-so-good wine that we paid a not-so-good-price for! oh well, at least we helped raise money for a very worthy cause!
