friday fun day

friday was our last day with nanna and grandpa...

it started off with a quick trip to the golf course to pick up tate's equipment for his lessons that would begin next week. new clubs, shoes, towel, balls and tees! plus 3 one-hour lessons and 4 rounds of 9 holes! plus, entry into a kids tournament in august! all for $5.00. YUP- just $5! 

this is a special summer program that is funded by the Air Force to increase play at our golf course. we were lucky to get tate a spot in the program, since the first program filled up so quickly this spring. he was put on a wait list and we didn't ever think there would be funding for a second group this summer- but then they called and asked for his shoe size! 

did you notice tate's mohawk above? (the golf pro at the golf course did!) well, macy of course wanted one too- here it is using 3 small ponytails!



gill wanted to take the kids to target friday... they were in heaven and i too got a little excited when i saw this barbie pool-

when i was a kid, we had few cool toys. but we did have the deluxe barbie pool- it was amazing! i loved playing with it and found it to be SO magical. i of course had to buy the one for macy at target. gill bought each of the kids a swimsuit barbie/ken and we headed home to play-


friday afternoon vince came over for a playdate, since gill hadn't been able to meet him yet during her visit. poor vince. he only has an older brother. when he comes over, he barely tolerates that macy is a girl, never mind playing with her toys!

 but tate was legitimately excited to play with the pool and his new ken. vince wasn't thrilled, but came downstairs- with a spiderman mask- and a ken doll. his ken was naked though... oops! check out his smile though. see, everyone loves a barbie pool-




friday night brian made one last fancy, delicious, gourmet dinner for his parents and we had a fun night playing some card games. if only the lived closer!!!!! sigh.
