i had been to one of the wineries this spring for an event and had been wanting to take brian back. so we decided to take his parents too!
and we all loved what we found. first up, ledgewood creek. beautiful new tasting room, grassy sitting areas outdoors- and bocce ball/lawn bowling too! we really liked their wine and joined their wine club!
next up- the suisun valley co-op. as we pulled in, we saw a food truck and instantly smelled delicious BBQ! we couldn't resist and I'm glad we didn't because it was just as good as it smelled. they had a covered, shaded picnic area, so it was great for the kids too.
after lunch we tasted at the co-op. what a great idea. the co-op is made up of 5 local wineries who are either not interested in, or not successful enough, to have their own tasting rooms- yet. they provide staffing for the business too, so the man who was pouring one of our wines was actually the wine maker!
and lastly, the blue victorian. oh my goodness! this is a little historic blue victorian home, turned tasting room, on an amazing property! there was a front porch, where we parked ourselves to enjoy the view and perfect weather. we couldn't resist walking around the property too-
they were setting up for a wedding that afternoon
gill and i enjoyed every minute we spent sipping wine on the porch that afternoon-
brian and his dad were in heaven too-
here i am, just contemplating what a fabulous day we had...
right after wine tasting, we went to a bday party for macy's little friend, leah, who was turning 4. it was a great night with 3 other families. i am so glad that gill & george were able to come along with us to meet our friends too.
