who me, picasso? (friday june 8)

i got home from fresno, passed off sick tate to brian and headed out for the night! 

hailey and i were invited to a retirement party for our AF friend, trish. it was held at a 'paint your own canvas art studio' which is similar to a 'paint your own pottery' place- but you go home with a piece of art to hang on your wall! 

the artist helped us along, we got to chit chat and even enjoyed wine and appetizers- all while painting!

at first, i was going to choose the same colors as the artist- but i changed my mind last minute and i am SO glad i did because purple wouldn't have gone anywhere in my house!!

I'm happy to report that brian hung my painting in the dining room the next day and we love it! (and i painted the whole thing- the artist never once touched my canvas!)

it was a fun night- too bad i didn't get any other pics of the whole group though...

sidenote- i came home that night and was SOOOOOO sick! i had a fever and would stay in bed for the next 36 hours! felt like the flu with a sore throat...

second sidenote- tate didn't get better as the weekend went on either. brian brought him to the ER on sunday night, with a fever of 103.5! he came home with antibiotics for a sinus infection. sigh.
