Wonderful Saturday

This was the 3rd year we participated in our church's kids color run! It feels good to be part of something for 3 years in a row... Kind of odd for us. It was an incredibly windy day (so windy and cold, that we decided to skip the 5K that started at 7am!), so while the kids still got hammered with colored powder, the wind was helpful to quickly take it off them, so they were way cleaner than they have been in years past-

The wind even got us-

That night we met up with 3 couples to celebrate Brian's birthday. The company was fantastic, the restaurant fabulous, but our dessert was out of this world. Carved out pumpkins, with a little bonfire inside to roast your own homemade marshmallows-

The waiter even brought out a second dessert for the birthday boy- gold dusted truffles

This was one of these dinners that you did not want to end. But, all good things must- so off we went to a brewery, and then back to our house for drinks and games.

The Weston's couldn't make it to the after party, but these 3 kept us in stitches!

We were missing one couple this night, The Mann's. It isn't always the case that the husbands all get along, and the wives all get along. We feel so fortunate to be surrounded by the couples who are currently in our lives- both new and old- and cherish each time we can be with them.

I also cherish each day I get with this guy-

He is amazing and deserves to be celebrated each and every day, not just on his birthday. I'm a lucky girl...
