Grandpa turns 85

Brian's dad turned 85 this month, so we decided to take a long weekend and go celebrate with him in Tennessee!

I always pack snacks for our trips, we never get gas station stuff, except today-
Lynn sent the kids money to go pick out their own favorite candy for Valentine's Day, so they did it on our trip, which made it even more special.

We had a fun adult board game night with the fam in Knoxville, and discovered a new game, What's Yours Like-

And a new delicious drink-

The kids always love going up into the attic to see what they can discover- like this 1990 Lego phone that was Auntie Cathryn's prize possession-

When Brian notices there is a project to be done, he does it! Not sure the timing was right to paint the living room, but he did it and it looked fantastic when it was done

And Macy got to paint her name-

It rained all day Saturday, so as soon as I saw the sun on Sunday, I wanted to get out and hit a playground, and so did these 3-

We had a big dinner on Saturday with all the local Knoxville family to celebrate George- and Cathryn, since it was her actual birthday.

We headed home on Monday with a very full car. Brian and his dad had gone to the lumber yard where he bought some gorgeous wood for future projects. Kids were a bit squished, but Macy found a use for the wood-
