Our neighborhood hosted a wheelbarrow party on New Years Eve- and boy was it cold!
I had read that a new years day tradition in Korea was for families to go watch the sunrise together. So I convinced my family to get in the car at 5am and drive to a local lake to watch the sun come up-
We were in traffic for quite a while and it was getting lighter and lighter outside-
Notice the red glow on our faces above? Well, apparently everyone else was headed to the lake too-
Who knew? Apparently people actually get there before midnight to ring in the new year and stay for sunrise. Oops.
But still the red glow from the traffic ahead of us! So we decided to abort and head home. And as we were driving home over the lake- no visible sunshine anyway-
This was Sparky's first time going for a ride (besides the vet) with us-
We've got some car etiquette to work on with him, but the kids loved having him with them.
Our church had a fun photo op-
Okay then, here is is- 2023! Wow. How does this keep happening?
