day trip with aunt sandy

my aunt sandy relocated to north carolina, from new hampshire, a few years ago and is thankfully now just a few hours away from brian's parents. before i moved to germany we met up in gaitlenburg, tenn- a cute little touristy town in the smoky mountains- so we decided to meet up again there this trip- so she could meet her great niece, macy!

my aunt sandy is also my god mother. here we are...

i think she looks so proud to be a great aunt in this picture!

after lunch we headed to the aquarium...

these fish were huge!

this was a very long, very cool tunnel under the tank- notice the large shark in the upper right hand corner!

the new penguin exhibit had a window in the floor- tate loved it. there was also a tunnel into the penguin area where tate and aunt sandy climbed- sorry, no pic- the flash was on...

we had a fun day together and hope to be able to do it again and again each time we come to tennessee.
