Harry & Hermione

Halloween 2015 was great. My mom actually flew in on 10/27, so she was here for all the fun, and is staying with us for almost 6 weeks! 

My book club had a costume party for book club in October- 

And Macy's gymnastics place had a costume party that she and Tate went to with friends Issac & Noah-

And here are Harry & Hermione-

Tate is obsessed with Harry Potter. And Macy thought it'd be fun to be Hermione. She hasn't read the books or watched more than 20 minutes of any of the movies, but she loves all things Tate. So Hermoine she was. (And thankfully Riley had a robe she was able to borrow!)

Even our pumpkin was Harry Potter- 

Halloween night we invited over the Morales family. They are an Air Force family of 4 boys- age 10 to 6, who just moved here this summer. One of the boys is in Tate's cub scout den. Their dad actually flies the same plane that Brian flew (however they don't know each other) and is currently deployed for 1 year. 

So the boys, Elisha (mom) and her mom all came over for dinner before we all headed out (with our spiked cider) to go trick-or-treating together.

It was great that my mom was here to hand out candy this year, so I could go out with Brian and the kids. The decorations in our neighborhood were great- and people were WAY to generous with the candy! It was fun to have the 6 kids in our living room when we got home all sorting, trading and bartering with their loot-

Side note- at one point during trick-or-treating, Tate actually laid down on the street and said he just couldn't go on any more. It was hilarious. He's just not that into candy... or carrying heavy things!
