The General Macy

Cub Scouts call it the Pine Wood Derby. Girl Scouts call it the Powder Puff Derby. No matter the name, they give you this block of wood and expect you to turn it into a race car-

And every year, I am so impressed with what Brian and our kids come up with...

This year Macy decided she wanted her car to be fashioned after The General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard show. But with a major tweak- an American Flag, instead of a confederate flag.

A few nights of hard work-

 Sanding, painting, weighing over and over again-

And while her car was by no means the fastest that day, I know there were lesson learned and memories made while doing The General Macy this year that will last a lifetime...
