Tate loves sushi and can eat about one of my paycheck's worth of it in 20 minutes. For his birthday Sara got him the perfect gift- a sushi making set! It took us a while to find out where to buy the sushi grade fish, but once we did- he was all set to go! Hint- if you ever are looking to make your own sushi, find out where all the Japanese women shop. Brian and Tate went once around 11am- practically sold out. The second time they went about 9am, had great selection and found a line to get in the place had formed while they were shopping.
The set came with a greta- and sharp knife. So Brian was able to teach Tate some proper knife skills-
It was all so fantastic and made for such a fun Saturday lunch. We devoured that entire platter in about 15 minutes. Tate did the research to find a recipe or two- and how to make the delicious sauce too!
