last snowy pictures of the year? (i hope!)

with march right around the corner, could it be feeling a bit like spring? i hope so! we have had some days lately in the mid 40's and low 50's and i never thought that would feel warm, but it does! it was so exciting this morning that it was 34 already when i took tate to school at 8am AND the sun was shining too- plus my birds were chirping also.

last year i remember april 2nd being a beautiful spring day- so i am really hoping that spring does not start any later than that this year. on easter, we sat outside all day and enjoyed the sun and warmth- hoping this year is the same (since we will most likely have 10 adults and 10 kids here for dinner and an egg hunt too!)

of course last spring, i was very pregnant with macy and one of the things that made me most happy during the last months of my pregnancy was hearing all the birds in our yard chirping loudly (very very loudly) each day! the sun would rise about 4:45am and set at nearly 10pm and the birds would sing all day long and i loved it. (brian didnt like it as much, since they would wake him a little too early for work) so, my birds are back and the days are getting brighter- about 7am until 6pm we have daylight- so no more snow i hope!

but- here are a few more snowy pics though... on presidents day brian went out and bought tate the ultimate german sled, which i was told goes WAY too fast! they went sledding with friends that afternoon and had a blast. i wish i could figure out how to post video- because we have a couple great crash videos!

here we go to the top...
seriously brian? that sled is as big a tate! (the first walk up, tate said he didnt want to pull the sled anymore. brian told him the rules- you walk to the top, then sled down. tate told brian he just wanted to start in the middle then!)

so cute- and cold! (notice the skiing in the background? they were sledding at a little ski slope about 40 minutes away from our house. cant wait to get him on ski's next year!)
okay, come on tulips and daffodils- grow, grow, grow! i am soooo ready for spring...
