USA, USA!

so today is tate's last day of school... or at least his last official day. his teacher retires in 2 weeks and she wants him to keep coming until she leaves. they are SO good to us.

well, tate wanted a pink cake for his going away party at school today. i wasnt sure exactly what to do with a pink cake for a 3 yr old boy who attends german kindergarten... then it came to me- keep it simple and focus on the reason why he is having a going away party- because he is going to the united states of america!

so today before they all eat pink cake, the german kids will get a little geography lesson and tate can point out on the map where he will travel- to tennessee and california.
