Squadron Christmas party- 12/13

On 12/13 our squadron had it's annual "holiday" party... Last year the theme was 1980's. This year it was "Red Carpet," so Brian sent me on a wild goose chase to find a dark green, velvet, tuxedo.
 NOT EASY!

This was the best I could do, and it was a few sizes too big-
but, everyone loved it and was surprised to see him all dressed up!

brian surprised us all by starting off the night singing Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song" (you know the one- "Chestnut's roasting on an open fire...") but he had changed all the lyrics and written about people in our squadron. It was fantastic!!!! I wish this picture was better-

He also raffled off 2 days of leave and let everyone come in a noon the next day! but, the best part of the night was out of his control...

as a fundraiser the week before, you could vote for who should dress up as an elf, santa and mrs. claus during the party... brian was in the lead with over 900 votes, so he was santa! they all came into the room dancing to 90's rap music and would eventually dance to "gangnam style" too! (thankfully, Brian can dance!!)

the night went on with lots of dancing for all (no thanks!), so Brian felt like he needed to stretch-

i love this picture-

we had such a fun night! our squadron did a great job planning and putting on this party- it was THEIR party, all we had to do was show up, which was such a treat!

we were leaving the hotel and brian and ryan saw a luggage cart- just like little boys, who can resist?
I put this picture on our squadron Facebook page saying "And these are your leaders?!?!"
