Tate

Before school break last month, Tate received another reading award! And again, he was the only first grader to receive this level award! woo hoo! (my sister keeps reminding me to tell him that being a nerd is cool! hehe) school really does come easily to him, just like his daddy. i hope it will always be like that!

last month i was unpacking tate's backpack and i found this picture-
i nearly broke down in tears! when tate wrote down his list to santa at school he listed 3 things- skylanders giants, a kitten and a friend. the friend kind of concerned me, so i asked him what he meant. he looked at me like i was the dumbest person and simply said "Nick!"

yesterday sara sent me a picture of nick... nick has been selected as student of the week and had to answer some questions. one question was  "favorite place to go?" he wrote "tate's house"
this time last year we were counting down the days until sara and the boys arrived for a visit with us. now, we are counting down the months until we go see them. over the summer i will fly back to TN for brian's sister's wedding. i plan to stay in TN at least 4 weeks and drive to DC to see Sara while I am so "close" for a week or so! i can't wait to see nick and tate (nate/tick, as we often call the two-some) back together!!!
