We hated to have to leave our beloved Lake Tahoe, but were so thankful to have had 8 marvelous days of vacation as a family.
Brian went out with his camera before the crack of dawn for a hike to capture the sunrise...

Friday morning while we packed up, Tate headed back to Kids Club for one last time. Meanwhile, Macy was back in the room just doing her own thing... She enjoyed ripping up paper and making a mess- totally educational and stimulating, right?

Time to go... She loves her accessories these days and thankfully, orange!

On our way home, we stopped in Sacramento at Guy Fieri's (from the Food Network) restaurant, Tex Wasabi's. The restaurant interior and menu were interesting- BBQ meets sushi! The food was great- my mouth was bursting with a million flavors when we left. They have a section on the menu called "gringo rolls" and these pseudo sushi rolls have everything from French fries to steak in them! www.texwasabis.com (I didn't take any pictures at the restaurant, but surely I would have if Guy himself had been there!)
When we arrived home, Macy got a great surprise- two boxes of clothes from our friend Kate in Germany! We have a great network going internationally, since I send all Tate's hand-me-downs to Germany for Nick! These were Macy's favorite find in the box- Curious George pajamas! She loves all things silky (satin, ribbons, ect) so to finally have pajamas, like mine, made her ecstatic!

Thanks sooooooo much Mrs. Nikki!
