Mid school year last year, Tate's friend Kira moved to another part of Fairfield, which would require her to switch schools. Her parents let her finish off the first grade at Center Elem, where she and Tate were in the same grade.
After having Kira in Tate's class for the past 2 years, it was odd this year not to have her there. Luckily, just a few days later we got to go see her dance recital. Kira dances Polynesian/Hawaiian Hula. Macy has expressed some interest in also taking lessons, so Kira's mom thought it might be fun for us to attend.
Apparently after each of her dances, she would run backstage and ask her mom "Where is Tate? I didn't see him out there!" (It was a big, dark auditorium!)
We finally found her at the end of the show-
The show was amazing, it totally captivated us the whole 2 hours. The youngest dancer was 3, the oldest was 78! And yes, Macy now wants to start lessons for sure. And try as I might to convince Tate that he should learn how to play the drums, he is not interested. Oh well.
