Yesterday we spent a dreamy day in Rhode Island with our old LRAFB besties, The Finnan’s. They toured us all around Newport and I fell in love with a truffle butter lobster roll.
After a much too short Finnan visit, we set off to knock out one of Macy’s summer bucket list items- finding Taylor Swift’s RI mansion. And we did it!
Truthfully, it wasn’t that difficult. Macy did a a bit of online sleuthing and found the address quickly. While there was a gate, you were able to walk up to the gate and along paths on both sides to get great views of her stunning home!
Turns out she has good taste. We too instantly fell in love with her neighborhood in the quaint area called Watch Hill.
She has a song about this house- “The Last Great American Dynasty,” and this wiki link tells the story & how deeply historic this house actually is
19 years ago our friendship was the best thing to come out of a lame luncheon we both reluctantly attended!
This summer there is a traveling elephant exhibition in Newport with over 100 migrating elephants from India- it was really fascinating to see.
I remember going to The Breakers Mansion in Newport when I was a kid! So cool to see it again as an adult.

Our girls-
Forgot to get Sean and Knox in this picture!
This picture makes the elephants look so realistic-
Strolling along the beautiful Cliff Walk in Newport. This is our first pic without Tate. Weird!

Our lobster roll sampler-
Hands down, truffle butter was THE BEST!
Now off to find Taylor....
Macy in front of the gate at Taylor Swift’s home. Lots of private property/no trespassing signs, but you can drive right by and walk right up!
To the left of her property is a path down to the public beach where you can see her home. The large flag is in Taylor’s backyard.
Holiday House is the white house in this picture, set up high to the far right.
Just a couple houses over from Taylor’s is the driveway to stunning Watch Hill Lighthouse. Walking down to the light house, you get several glimpses of her house- then you see it!

The sunshine was just spotlighting Holiday House set high upon Watch Hill.
Taylor's house is great- but this yellow one was my favorite!
We were there on a Tuesday night and there was an outdoor summer concert-
Watch Hill seems like a pretty dreamy summer paradise spot to us!
Such a fun day trip for us! It was wonderful seeing the Finnan's forever house and knowing what life looks like for them now and forever!
